Are the Suns a good bet to cover as a home underdog this evening when they host the Celtics at 5:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Celtics are now 6-point road favorites versus the Suns after opening as a 5.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number has dropped slightly to 225 after hitting the board at 225.5.

Boston enters play tonight having won seven of its last 10 games and cashing in six of those 10 contests at the betting window. The Celtics are 32-28 against the number on the season, which includes an impressive road ATS record of 20-10.

Phoenix has dropped six of 10 coming into tonight and is just 5-5 against the spread over that span. The Suns are 31-30 against the number on the season, which includes a winning ATS home record of 15-13.

OUR PREDICTION: While the favorite has covered in five of the last seven meetings between these two teams, the Celtics are just 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 games versus the Suns. Boston has also failed to cover in eight of its last 11 games coming off a win while Phoenix has cashed in four of its last five home games. Outside of losing to the Hawks at home on Monday night, the Celtics have had a great week, beating the Cavs on Wednesday and crushing a hapless Lakers team on Friday. With the Clippers and Warriors on deck next week, this is a natural letdown spot for the Celtics, who will no doubt receive a better effort from the Suns than they did the Lakers.
