Wizards out West

Washington is in its third game of a West Coast road trip tonight. The Wizards already lost 129-119 at Utah and then picked up a 124-110 win at Golden State on Sunday. Washington is now 22-37 on the season, 8-22 on the road, 30-27-2 against the spread and 35-23-1 with the over.

The Wizards are putting up 115.9 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. Defensively, Washington is giving up a league-worst 119.9 points per game while opponents shoot 48.7 percent from the field. Bradley Beal is playing at a very high level right now. He has scored at least 40 points in three of his last five, and has scored at least 30 in all five. On the season, Beal is averaging 30.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per contest. Davis Bertans is adding 15.1 points per contest.

Kings heating up

Sacramento has won and covered in five of its last six games following a 106-100 win at home over the Pistons on Sunday night. The Kings are 26-34 on the season, 13-15 at home, 31-28-1 against the spread and 30-30 with the over/under total.

The Kings are averaging just 108.3 points per game on offense this season while the team shoots 45.6 percent from the field. Defensively, Sacramento is allowing 110.3 points per game while opponents shoot 46.6 percent against them. De’Aaron Fox is leading the Kings with 20.1 points and 6.9 assists per game. Buddy Hield is adding 19.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Washington

The Wizards are 5-15-1 against the spread in their last 21 Tuesday games, but 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games as an underdog.

Sacramento

The Kings are 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 games as a favorite and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a home favorite.

Prediction:

The Kings won the first meeting this season back in November, 113-106 in Washington. Sacramento has the scoring depth to be a problem for the Wizards. Washington has Beal, who can take over a game, but the Wizards lack of defense and depth behind Beal should be concerning. Sacramento has a different player that can lead them in scoring each night and that can make them tough to defend if you struggle on defense like Washington does. I am going to ride with the Kings at home.

NBA Prediction: Sacramento Kings -5
