Pacers getting on track

Indiana is coming off a 113-104 win at Cleveland on Saturday for a third straight victory and fifth win in six games. The Pacers are 36-24 on the season, 15-14 on the road, 31-27-2 against the spread and 31-28-1 with the over.

The Pacers are a solid defensive team, allowing just 107.1 points per game while holding opponents to 44.8 percent shooting. Offensively, Indiana is putting up 109.3 points per game while opponents shoot 47.6 percent from the field. TJ Warren is leading the Pacers this season with 18.6 points per game while Domantas Sabonis is averaging 18.4 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.

Spurs edge Orlando

San Antonio is coming off a 114-113 win at home over Orlando on Saturday, but the Spurs failed to cover for a third straight game. San Antonio is 25-33 on the season, 15-13 at home, 24-33-1 against the spread and 35-22-1 with the over.

The Spurs are putting up 112.9 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.9 percent from the floor. Defensively, San Antonio is allowing 114.5 points per game while opponents shoot 46.8 percent from the field. LaMarcus Aldridge is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game with his shoulder injury. He averages 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. DeMar DeRozan is leading the way with 22.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Indiana

The Pacers are 8-3-1 against the spread in their last 12 road games and 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven as a road favorite.

San Antonio

The Spurs are 11-25 against the spread in their last 36 home games, but 15-6 against the spread in their last 21 games as a home underdog.

Prediction:

These two haven’t met this season, but the Pacers have covered in six of their last seven against the Spurs. Indiana has been really hot and cold on the road. They have some solid wins, but then have things like a 46-point loss at Toronto. Thankfully for Indiana, they play a Spurs team tonight that has been inconsistent all season. With Aldridge unlikely to play, I think Sabonis is really going to dominate this game. San Antonio just doesn’t have the scoring depth to make up for the loss of Aldridge or DeRozan, especially against good defensive teams like Indiana.

NBA Prediction: Indiana Pacers -2.5
