Pacers vs. Mavericks Prediction
The Pacers are listed as a small road favorite tonight in Dallas where they’ll visit the Mavericks at 8:30 p.m. ET, but they’ll need to rebound from a loss Monday night in Detroit. Is there more betting value in Indiana or Dallas tonight?
521 Indiana Pacers at 522 Dallas Mavericks

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Pacers are 1-point favorites to beat the Mavericks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 215.5 points and as of this writing, 53% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Pacers to cover the point spread.
Indiana Pacers Fantasy Spin
Tyreke Evans (food poisoning) did not practice on Tuesday and is questionable to play on Wednesday against the Mavericks. If Evans can't get out there, maybe Edmond Sumner and Aaron Holiday will be able to get into the rotation, but that doesn't mean much in fantasy hoops. Evans has been awful this season and belongs on the waiver wire in nearly all leagues.
Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin
Dirk Nowitzki shot 2-of-7 from three Monday, finishing with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in 26 minutes vs. the Clippers. Nowitzki received a standing ovation from many of the remaining fans at Staples Center with seconds remaining in his final visit to the arena to play the Clippers. The future Hall of Fame forward has scored in double figures in two straight and three of his last four games, but the shooting percentages have not been particularly great. He hasn't been productive enough to warrant his being picked up off the waiver wire in most leagues.
NBA Betting Trends
The Pacers are 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 road games.
The Mavericks are 17-8-1 at the betting window in their last 26 home games.
I do like the Pacers despite their road issues. They need to start games faster so they don’t come up short like they did in Detroit on Monday night when they put together an excellent second half. That said, the pacers are 12-5 at the betting window in their last 17 games overall and are 7-3 against the number in their last 10 games in Dallas. Despite their success ATS at home, the Mavs are winless against the spread in their last five games overall and are 0-4 against the number in their last four games coming off a loss.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: Indiana Pacers -1
