Three NBA Totals to Bet Tuesday

If you're looking for an edge in Tuesday night's NBA slate, here are three betting totals to keep an eye on, including in the Nets-Cavs matchup at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Nets at Cavs, 7:00 p.m. ET

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook YouWager, the Cavs are 10.5-point home favorites to beat the Nets while the total sits at 221. The under has been cashing at a good clip in Brooklyn games (4-0 in the Nets' last four games) but there is one exception. When the Nets are playing the second game of a back-to-back set, the over has cashed in five of the last seven situations. The over is also 42-20-1 in the Cavs' last 63 games playing on one day of rest.

Bet This Matchup & Other NBA Games

Bulls at Hornets, 7:00 p.m. ET

The Hornets opened as 10-point home favorites against the Bulls but the line has climbed to 10.5. The total is also on the move, climbing from the original number of 216.5 to 217 at the majority of sportsbooks. The over has been a great play in this series, cashing in all four of the last four meetings between these two teams. In the last seven meetings in Charlotte, the over is also 5-2. The over is 6-2-1 in the Hornets' last nine home games and is 22-7 in the Bulls' last 29 road contests versus an opponent with a winning home record as well.

NBA Prediction: Bulls/Hornets over 217

Clippers at Nuggets, 10:30 p.m. ET

Despite 51% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks listed on the over, I see an opportunity for bettors to nab the under in the final NBA game of the night. The Nuggets are 4.5-point home favorites to beat the Clippers while the total has dropped from 233.5 down to 230. The under has cashed in five of the last six meetings between these two teams and is 35-16 in the last 51 meetings overall.
