Los Angeles Lakers DFS Spin

Newly acquired Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks. Russell is dealing with a sprained right ankle. Los Angeles star forwards LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both probable to play, so you can deploy them with confidence if you’re willing to pay their salaries for DFS on Sunday.

For a high-ceiling low-floor DFS option, consider the Lakers’ Malik Beasley. Beasley has played four games for the Lakers after being acquired at the trade deadline and he’s been feast or famine. Beasley had two games with the Lakers where he recorded more than 20 points and two other games where he failed to score 10 points. In each game Malik Beasley did attempt at least 6 three-pointers, so he could be a nice option if you need cheap shooting in DFS this weekend.

The Dallas Mavericks made a splash at the trade deadline when they acquired Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving. Irving has been pretty consistent in his first 5 games with his new team. In each game for the Mavericks thus far, Kyrie Irving has scored at least 24 points and recorded at least 5 assists. He might be in line for a big day against a Lakers defense that ranks 19th in the NBA in defensive efficiency this season.

I think Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the Mavericks score so many points that the Lakers aren’t able to keep pace. I’ll lay the points with Dallas at home.
