Dallas Mavericks DFS Spin
Luka Doncic sank the game-winner to help Dallas avoid a late collapse vs. Boston on Tuesday, finishing a dramatic victory with 31 points, six triples, 10 rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 38 minutes. Doncic's final dagger was reminiscent of his game-winner vs. the Clippers in the postseason, as he pulled up five feet beyond the arc and drilled a step-back 3-pointer over the arm of an outstretched defender (video here). Of course, his dramatic shots were only necessary because the Mavs gave up an 11-point lead with three minutes left. Mavs coach Rick Carlisle probably isn't too thrilled, but it was a fun finish and Doncic even limited himself to 'only' three turnovers tonight to the surprise and delight of 9-cat managers everywhere.
Philadelphia 76ers DFS Spin
Tobias Harris was held to 13 points in Sunday's loss to the Raptors, adding four rebounds, seven assists, one 3-pointer, one steal and one block over 37 minutes. Harris had been shooting the lights out in his previous five outings, but he saw a regression to the mean against Toronto’s tough defense, missing his first six shots and finishing 6-of-17 from the field. He was also 1-of-9 from distance, but he should be able to bounce back a bit in Tuesday’s rematch. Joel Embiid also struggled from an efficiency standpoint, going 6-of-20 from the field (12-of-14 at the line) for 25 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, one 3-pointer, two blocks and two turnovers in 36 minutes.
Mavericks vs. 76ers Betting Prediction
The Mavericks are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five games against the Sixers and are 7-3 against the number in their last 10 road games. Dallas is also 25-12-1 at the betting window in its last 38 road games versus an opponent like Philadelphia that has a winning record at home. The Sixers, meanwhile, are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games playing on one day of rest and are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games overall.
