Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Bucks are 8-point favorites to beat the Bulls. The total, meanwhile, sits at 225 points and as of this writing, 58% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Bucks to cover the point spread.
Milwaukee Bucks Fantasy Spin
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right knee soreness) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Bulls. Antetokounmpo was on the injury report prior to Saturday's game, but wound up posting 27 & 10 in 33 minutes. If he does sit out it will likely be a precautionary absence, and could be influenced by an easily winnable game vs. the Bulls. Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe and Malcolm Brogdon should benefit the most if he's out, but it will take a team-wide effort to fill in for a leading MVP candidate.
Chicago Bulls Fantasy Spin
Otto Porter (left lower leg strain) has been downgraded to doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Bucks. Coach Boylen said Porter got some treatment on Monday morning and added that he'll be a game-time decision, but he was not optimistic about him playing. The Bulls are usually very cautious with their players, especially with the franchise eyeing better Zion odds. Wayne Selden, Timothe Luwawu and Shaq Harrison are all candidates to see a bump in minutes, especially with Kris Dunn (migraine) also doubtful. None of these guys are very attractive on a 11-game slate though unless you're punting in DFS.v
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 13-3-2 against the spread in their last 18 road games.
Chicago
The Bulls have failed to cover the spread in eight of their last 10 home games.
Prediction
There aren’t any trends that support the Bulls tonight. The Bucks are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games in Chicago and are 4-1 against the number in their last five games versus the Bulls overall. The favorite is also 4-1 at the betting window in the last five meetings between these two teams while the road squad has covered in nine of the last 10 series meetings. That said, without the “Greek Freak,” I don’t see the Bucks covering this number on the road. I fully expect them to win but the Bulls have won three in row, with their most recent victory coming versus the Celtics as a 10-point home dog. I like Chicago to hang.
