Wednesday NBA Teaser Prediction

NBA Teaser Predictions: Pelicans, Clippers & Warriors Great Bets? 2/14/18

Every night in the NBA I'll attempt to put together the perfect three-team teaser. Tonight, the defending champion Warriors will be a part of my combination.

Team 1: New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans are currently 5-point home favorites tonight against the Lakers after opening at -5.5 according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook YouWager. The public is currently backing the Lakers at 53% clip but I believe they'll be on the wrong side of this one. Anthony Davis is going to light up Luke Walton's squad. Davis has faced the Lakers five times over the past two seasons and has averaged 34.4 PPG, 12.2 RPG, 2.2 BPG and has shot 52.5 percent from the field. He's gone for 38 points per game in the three games without DeMarcus Cousins. This is a bad matchup for L.A.

Teaser Play: Pelicans -1.5

Team 2: Los Angeles Clippers

The new-look Clippers have looked great. With Blake Griffin now in Detroit, the current lineup combination of Avery Bradley, Austin Rivers, Tobias Harris, Danilo Gallinari and DeAndre Jordan has been excellent, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Meanwhile, the Celtics have dropped three of their past four games and their lineup remains in flux. The Clippers are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight trips to Boston and are 12-3-1 at the betting window in their last 16 road games. Los Angeles is currently catching 5 points so in this three-teamer, we get the hook off the key number of 8.

Teaser Play: Clippers +8.5

Warriors at Trail Blazers, 10:30 p.m. ET

The defending champs are currently 6-point favorites so in this teaser we get them at a discount at -2. In their last 15 games, the Trail Blazers have jumped up to ninth offensively but unfortunately for them their scoring spike has coincided with a dip defensively, as they rank 20th in their past 15 games. Under Steve Kerr, the Warriors are 25-16 against the spread when playing on the road against a Western Conference opponent that has a road above .600. The road team is also 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams while the Warriors are 4-1 against the number in their last five trips to Portland and are 37-18 at the betting window in their last 55 games against the Trail Blazers overall.

Teaser Play: Warriors -2
