Phoenix Suns DFS Spin
The Suns have traded for Kevin Durant with a package that includes Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, four first-round picks, and a 2028 pick swap, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports. Well, there you have it. The Nets have officially blown things up, and in less than a week's time, both Durant and Kyrie Irving are off to new locales. Durant's arrival in Phoenix immediately makes the Suns a title contender as he'll join Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton in the new starting five. From the Phoenix side, the move opens up playing time for Dario Saric, Torrey Craig and Josh Okogie, though it's unclear who will be the Suns' fifth starter. From the Brooklyn side, the door is now open for Cam Thomas to continue feasting as the team's top option, while guys like Royce O'Neale, Joe Harris and Seth Curry could see their minutes cut in favor of Bridges and Johnson. Devin Booker's role as the Suns' primary scorer is likely to take a hit, and Durant may not score as much as he did with the Nets, but there shouldn't be huge movement in the fantasy value of either player. Durant is still dealing with a knee injury, so until he's cleared to play, the Suns will be quite depleted, meaning the team's role players should see as many minutes as they can handle.
Indiana Pacers DFS Spin
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers will also acquire George Hill and a future second-round pick from the Bucks. With the Bucks acquiring Jae Crowder as part of a three-team deal with the Nets and Pacers, the team needed to enhance its portion of the trade to make the money work. So Hill, Serge Ibaka, and another second-round pick will be headed to Indiana, along with Jordan Nwora and two second-round picks. With Indiana having Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, and T.J. McConnell, it will be interesting to see if the Pacers look to move Hill to a contender. Either way, he doesn't offer much fantasy value.
