Can the Golden State Warriors avoid a third loss to the Memphis Grizzlies this season when they meet tonight at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Golden State is favored on the road, as the Warriors are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Grizzlies. The over/under total for the game is listed at 214.5 points. Memphis has won both meetings with the Warriors this season, one at home and one in Golden State.

Golden State is 44-8 on the season and 24-26-2 against the spread. The Warriors have won six of their last seven games, with the lone loss coming in OT at Sacramento. Golden State is putting up a league-best 118.3 points per game this season while allowing 105.1 on defense. On the road, the offensive average dips to 114.3. Kevin Durant is averaging 25.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game to lead the team while Stephen Curry is averaging 25.3 points and 6.4 assists. Klay Thompson is also adding 21.5 points per game.

Memphis has won three straight and six of its last seven games to get to 33-22 on the season. The Grizzlies are 29-26 against the spread after covering in six of their last seven as well. Memphis only averages 100.7 points per game on offense, but the defense is holding opponents to 99.1 per game. At home, Memphis is allowing just 94.1 points per game. Marc Gasol has been leading the team with 20.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while Mike Conley is putting up 19.1 points and 6.2 assists per contest. Zach Randolph is putting up 14.2 points per game off the bench, but he is dealing with a foot injury that has him questionable to play tonight.

The Grizzlies just seem to have the Warriors’ number this year. Memphis has two wins over them already and I expect them to play Golden State tough again tonight at home. Golden State has been winning lately, but they are having some tough games on the road. I think Memphis will not give Golden State the easy looks that other teams do, and the Warriors aren’t going to grind out a lot of baskets in the paint.
