Clippers vs. Cavs Sunday Prediction
While Sunday night’s Clippers-Cavs matchup is a mismatch, Los Angeles has had issues covering the spread in Cleveland in previous meetings between the two teams. Will the Clippers prevail tonight, however?

Los Angeles Clippers Fantasy Spin
Kawhi Leonard posted a line of 29 points (8-of-17 FGs, 10-of-11 FTs), six rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Leonard bounced back from his poor showing in Wednesday’s win over the Heat, but that wasn’t enough to keep the Clippers from getting blown out by a Timberwolves squad that had lost its last 13 games. Given the fact that he’s yet to play in both ends of a back-to-back this season, it’s highly unlikely that he’ll be on the floor Sunday in Cleveland. Leonard has provided first-round value in both eight- and nine-category formats this season, with those who took the risk of drafting him in spite of the load management reaping the rewards.
Cleveland Cavs Fantasy Spin
According to Chris Fedor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Andre Drummond will likely pick up his $28.7 million player option for the 2020-21 season. This was the primary reason the Pistons were willing to trade away Drummond for spare parts. Per Fedor's report, the Cavs would be "fine" with Drummond opting in for next season. Fedor adds: "They have even internally discussed the possibility of giving Drummond a long-term extension if they feel the short-term experiment works."
NBA Prediction
The Clippers are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Cavs but they’re also just 3-10 at the window in their last 13 trips to Cleveland. Leonard has yet to be ruled out but he’s unlikely to play so I’m hopping on the Cavs now. The Clippers are winless against the spread in their last four games when playing the second game of a back-to-back and are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage below .400. Meanwhile, despite the Cavs’ issues both on the hardwood and at the betting window, they are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight home games when facing a team that has a winning record on the road (the Clippers are 14-11 SU on the road this season).
