Pistons down Suns

Detroit earned a 116-108 home victory Wednesday night over Phoenix to improve to 19-34 on the season and 11-17 at home. The Pistons outscored the Suns 27-22 in the fourth quarter to put it away. Drummond poured in 31 points in his last game with the Pistons on 14-of-19 shooting plus 3-of-5 at the free throw line. He also registered 19 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Reggie Jackson tallied 25 points, nine assists and five boards. Christian Wood tallied 21 points and eight caroms. Langston Galloway added 15 points and three assists off the bench.

Thunder win third straight

Oklahoma City secured a 109-103 home win Wednesday night over Cleveland to move to 31-20 overall and 16-10 at home. The Thunder led 61-53 at halftime and held off the Cavaliers after the break. Dennis Schroder led OKC with 30 points off the bench on 9-of-17 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 3-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also registered six assists and five rebounds. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 23 points, 10 boards, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots. Danilo Gallinari registered 15 points and five caroms. NBA Betting Trends

Detroit

The Pistons are 20-42-1 ATS in their last 63 games overall. Detroit is 5-15 ATS in its last 20 games on one day of rest.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder are 8-1 ATS in their last nine Friday games. Oklahoma City is 2-5 ATS in its last seven home games.

Prediction:

Detroit is a big underdog, but for good reason and I can't imagine its players will be too invested after the front office officially waved the white flag last night with the trade of Drummond. Oklahoma City is in the thick of a playoff run and this could be a game where it coasts to a victory as long as it focuses on the task at hand.
