The Pelicans have good numbers on offense for the season, averaging 116 points per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the field. The defense is giving up 114.8 points per contest. Injuries have piled up for this team, as Anthony Davis, Elfrid Payton, E’Twaun Moore, Julius Randle, Trevon Bluiett and Nikola Mirotic are all out tonight. Jrue Holiday is leading the active roster with 21 points and 8 assists per game.

NBA Betting Trends
New Orleans
The Pelicans have covered the spread in four straight road games and in five of their last six following a loss.
Chicago
The Bulls have failed to cover the spread in five straight home games in in five straight home games against a team with a losing road record.
Prediction:
The Pelicans aren’t winning, but they have been covering. Jahlil Okafor has been a nice fill-in for the injured Davis, playing some of the best basketball of his career. New Orleans has also been playing some of the top teams in the league lately, so a trip to Chicago would be some nice relief. The Bulls have recent losses at home to the Cavs and the Hawks. I think the Pelicans can handle themselves tonight.
NBA Prediction: New Orleans Pelicans +1
