Houston Rockets Fantasy Spin
James Harden extended his streak of 30-point games to 27 Monday, as he scored 44 points (15-of-26 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs) with eight rebounds, six assists, three steals, one blocked shot and five 3-pointers in 38 minutes. The Suns had no answer for Harden, which isn’t much of a surprise given what the reigning MVP has done over the last couple of months. In addition to extending his streak of 30-point games, Monday’s effort was also Harden’s 20th 40-point game this season. By comparison he had 11 40-point games all of last season. Over his last five The Beard is averaging 38.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 3.2 steals, 2.0 blocks and 5.2 three-pointers per game while shooting 47.7% from the field, 37.7% from three and 85.2% from the foul line.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Buddy Hield got off to a fast start during a 115-108 win over the 76ers on Saturday, finishing with 34 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and seven 3-pointers in 35 minutes. He scored 15 in the first 10 minutes and didn't really slow down. It would sound like a scorching hot take to say Hield has been the best shooter in 2019, but Hield's 70 treys in 2019 are third in the NBA (Harden, Curry). Plus, of the 103 players to hit at least 20 treys, nobody is even within five percent of Hield's 53.4 3P% (Klay Thompson 48.1). He's been a third-round player for total nine-cat value in 2019 and at this point he looks like a lock for at least top-50 value with a top-20 in the range of outcomes, as well.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The Rockets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous contest.
Sacramento
The Kings are 6-15-1 at the betting window in their last 22 games coming off a win of more than 10 points.
Prediction
The wrong team is favored here. During their three-game winning streak, the Kings covered the spread by 17, 10 and 17, respectively. They’ve been excellent at the betting window of late, covering the number in four of their last five games and in 20 of their last 28 home games. Sacramento has been profitable in this series, cashing in four of its last five home games versus Houston and in four of its last five games versus the Rockets overall. Speaking of James Harden and Co., the Rockets are just 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games overall and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: Sacramento Kings +2.5
