According to the latest oddsmakers, the Celtics are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Magic. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 211 points. Magic end losing streak

Orlando put an end to a five-game losing streak on Sunday in a 112-100 win at Charlotte. It also ended a five-game failed cover streak. The Magic are 22-28 on the season, 9-16 on the road, 22-26-2 against the spread and 28-20-2 with the under.

The Magic are the league’s top defense, allowing just 104.6 points per game while opponents shoot 45.5 percent from the field. Offensively, Orlando ranks 29th in the league, scoring just 103.3 points per game while shooting a league-worst 43.2 percent as a squad. Orlando is being led by Nikola Vucevic, who is averaging 18.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. Evan Fournier is adding 18.6 points per contest.

Celtics keep up the momentum

Boston is riding a four-game win streak while winning seven of their last eight games. The Celtics are coming off a 123-115 win at Atlanta on Sunday and they have covered the spread in all seven wins during this streak. Boston is 34-15 on the season, 20-5 at home, 30-17-2 against the spread and 28-21 with the under.

The Celtics are the league’s second-best defense, allowing just 105.5 points per game while holding opponents to 44.3 percent shooting. Offensively, Boston is putting up 112.7 points per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. The Celtics have some injury concerns, as both Marcus Smart and Kemba Walker are questionable while Daniel Theis is out due to injuries. The Three combine for over 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists per game. Jayson Tatum adds 21.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, while Jaylen Brown is averaging 20.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per outing.

NBA Betting Trends

Orlando

The Magic have failed to cover in four straight as an underdog and in six straight against a winning team.

Boston

The Celtics have covered the spread in four straight home games and in five of their last six following a win.

Prediction:

Boston already owns a 109-98 win at Orlando two weeks ago. The Celtics have a similar defense to Orlando, but a much better offense. The Magic have failed to score 100 in four of their last five. They bested a poor Charlotte team on Monday, but I think they will be overwhelmed by Boston tonight. The Celtics have things clicking right now on both sides of the floor. I like them at home tonight to overwhelm a lackluster Orlando offense.

NBA Prediction: Boston Celtics -7.5
