Denver Nuggets Fantasy Spin

Nikola Jokic turned in his ninth triple-double of the season against the Wolves during a thrilling 107-106 victory on Saturday, scoring 13 points with 16 rebounds, 10 assists and five turnovers in 29 minutes. After forcing a turnover on Karl-Anthony Towns late in the fourth, his 10th dime was a full-court bomb to Malik Beasley (video in link below). This win gives the Nuggets the best record in the Western Conference to send coach Mike Malone and his staff to Charlotte for the All-Star Game. Jokic has four trip-dubs in his last seven, averaging 24.7 points, 14.3 boards, 8.0 dimes, 1.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 0.8 treys on a 53/21/88 shooting line. He's basically Russ Westbrook with good percentages right now and should have top-five value going forward.

Detroit Pistons Fantasy Spin

Blake Griffin scored 24 points during a 111-101 loss to the Clippers on Saturday, adding 11 rebounds, six assists, five turnovers and three 3-pointers in 42 minutes. This is a bad loss for the Pistons at home. They blew a 25-point lead and managed to score just 14 in the fourth with Lou Williams outscoring them alone. Griffin is not likely to be traded at the deadline, but the Pistons really need to play better to avoid some late-season rest.

NBA Betting Trends

Denver

The Nuggets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games but are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games against Eastern Conference opponents.

Detroit

The Pistons are winless against the spread in their last four home games and are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall.

Prediction

The under has been profitable in this series, cashing in seven of the previous eight meetings between these two teams and is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Detroit. The under is also 5-1 in the Nuggets’ last six road games, is 7-1 in the Pistons’ last eight games and is 4-1 in Detroit’s last five home games.

Monday NBA Prediction: Nuggets/Pistons under 209
