Atlanta Hawks Fantasy Spin

Trae Young got hot late against the Suns during a 118-112 win on Saturday, scoring 27 points with seven rebounds, eight assists and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes. After just 10 points in the first three quarters, Young went nuclear in the final 6:50 with 17 points. He has been a star closer in the fourth over his last seven with 8.4 points in just 9.1 minutes (33.2 per 36) with a 69.1 TS% and a 28.9 usage rate. He becomes the first rookie in NBA history with five straight games of 23-plus points and eight-plus dimes. He'll have his bad games, but it's not crazy to think Young could be an early-round player going forward.

Washington Wizards Fantasy Spin

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 24 points Saturday vs. the Bucks, shooting 8-of-16 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line, while also accounting for four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 37 minutes. Beal has scored 20 points or more in six straight and 14 of his last 15 games. In January the All-Star guard averaged 27.6 points, 6.1 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game, shooting 46.2% from the field, 39.1% from three and 81.6% from the foul line. Asked to do much of the heavy-lifting in the aftermath of John Wall’s season-ending injury, Beal has been a top-15 player in nine-category leagues for the entire season.

NBA Betting Trends

Atlanta

The Hawks are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.

Washington

The Wizards are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest.

Prediction

The Wizards are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 home games, are 11-5 against the number in their last 16 games overall and have covered the spread in six of their last seven games coming off a double-digit loss at home. So yes, Washington has struggled but the Wizards have still been profitable at the betting window of late. The Hawks, meanwhile, are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games coming off a win.

Monday NBA Prediction: Washington Wizards -6
