Knicks look for back-to-back wins

New York had a surprising 92-85 win at Indiana on Saturday. The Knicks have been playing somewhat well as of late, covering in six of their last eight games. New York is 14-36 on the season, 7-18 on the road, 26-24 against the spread and 29-21 with the under.

The Knicks are putting up just 103.8 points per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field. Defensively, New York is allowing 111.2 points per game while opponents shoot 46.2 percent from the field. The Knicks are without RJ Barrett (14.1 ppg) and could be without Julius Randle (18.9 ppg, 9.5 rpg) tonight due to a quad injury. Marcus Morris Sr. is leading the team right now with 19.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.

Cavs run over

Cleveland is coming off a 131-112 loss at home to the Warriors for a third consecutive defeat. The Cavs are 13-37 on the season, 6-20 at home, 21-28-1 against the spread and 29-21 with the over.

The Cavs are putting up just 105.5 points per game this season while shooting 45.2 percent from the field. Defensively, Cleveland is allowing 114.5 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 49 percent against them. Cleveland is led by Collin Sexton, who is averaging 19.6 points per game. Kevin Love is adding 17.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

New York

The Knicks are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games as a road underdog and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a cover.

Cleveland

The Cavs are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 Monday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.

Prediction:

New York just picked up a 20-point win at Cleveland a few weeks ago and I like the Knicks to this evening as well. The Knicks have been playing well as of late and looked solid in their win at Indiana. New York actually has some talent, they just struggle to put it together consistently. I don’t think the Cavs even have the talent. I can’t trust Cleveland as a home favorite, especially after getting thrashed by the Warriors this weekend.

NBA Prediction: New York Knicks +1.5
