Nuggets rolling

Denver is coming off a 136-122 win at home over Houston last night for its fifth straight win overall. The Nuggets are 36-15 on the season, 13-11 on the road, 28-23 against the spread and 25-25-1 with the over/under total.

The Nuggets have been pretty steady on defense this year, allowing just 106.1 points per game while holding opponents to 34.1 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, Denver is putting up 112 points per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the field. The Nuggets have Jamal Murray and Gary Harris both listed as questionable to play tonight due to injuries. Those two combine for over 32 points per game this season. Nikola Jokic is leading the team with 20.4 points, 10.4 rebounds and 7.7 assists per contest.

Minnesota wins at home

The Timberwolves are coming off a 99-97 OT win at home over Memphis, snapping a brief two-game losing streak for Minnesota. The T’Wolves are now 25-26 on the season, 17-9 at home, 26-25 against the spread and 26-25 with the over.

Minnesota is in the middle of the road on both offense and defense. The Timberwolves are averaging 111.5 points per game on offense while giving up 111.3 per game on defense. Jeff Teague remains out for Minnesota with a foot injury while Derrick Rose is questionable to play tonight due to an ankle injury. Karl-Anthony Towns is leading the team with 22.6 points and 12.1 rebounds per game.

NBA Betting Trends

Denver

The Nuggets are 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight conference games.

Minnesota

Minnesota has failed to cover the spread in four straight at home and in four straight on two days of rest.

Prediction:

Denver got a 2-point win at Minnesota back in November, but I think the Nuggets will have a letdown tonight. Denver had a very fast-paced game with Houston at home last night and is now making a decently long trip to Minnesota. The T’Wolves are rested and have been respectable at home. Denver is just 9-15 against the spread on the road this season and I think they will come out flat tonight and allow Minnesota to steal this game.

NBA Prediction: Minnesota Timberwolves +1.5
