Are the Cavs a bad bet to cover as a home favorite tonight against the Timberwolves when the two teams tip-off at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cavs are 7-point home favorites versus the Timberwolves after opening as an 8.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 215.5 but has been bet down to 213.
The Timberwolves have won seven of 10 overall but are just 5-5 against the spread during that same span. Their latest victory came against the Magic as an 8-point home favorite, beating Orlando, 111-105 in overtime. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 23 points with 12 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in the win over the Magic. Andrew Wiggins was solid as well, scoring 27 points while shooting 10-of-21 from the field with five assists.
The Cavs have now dropped six of 10 overall and are just 3-7 against the spread over those 10 games. After winning back-to-back games, including a 107-91 win over the Thunder on Sunday, the Cav lost 104-97 in Dallas on Monday night. In the loss to the Mavs, LeBron James scored 23 points with nine boards and nine assists, while Kyrie Irving shot just 7-of-21 from the field to finish with 18 points.

OUR PREDICTION: It's hard to trust the Cavs right now, especially laying a touchdown against a Timberwolves team that has been good of late. The Timberwolves are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in Cleveland and are 10-1 against the number in their last 11 games versus na opponent with a winning record. On the other side, the Cavs are just 1-5 at the betting window in their last six games overall and are 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 games playing on one day of rest.
