76ers split out West

Philadelphia is coming off a 121-105 win at the Lakers on Tuesday night. They are 1-1 straight up and against the spread on this West Coast road trip thus far. The 76ers are 33-18 overall, 12-13 on the road, 24-27 against the spread and 29-22 with the over.

The 76ers have one of the top offenses in the league, averaging 115.7 points per game while shooting 47.3 percent form the arc. Defensively, Philly is giving up 112.1 points per game. Joel Embiid is dealing with a back injury, but is listed as probable to play tonight. He is averaging 27.2 points and 13.3 rebounds per contest while Ben Simmons is adding 16.7 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game.

Warriors on 11-game win streak

Golden State is coming off a 132-100 win at Indiana to wrap up a 5-game road trip. The Warriors have won 11 straight and covered the spread in four of their last five. Golden State is now 36-14 overall, 18-6 at home, 23-26-1 against the spread and 28-22 with the over.

The Warriors have the league’s top offense, as they rank first in the NBA in scoring (119.1 ppg), field goal percentage (49.1) and free throw percentage (82.1). They are also second in 3-point shooting (38.9 percent). Defensively, Golden State is allowing 111.8 points per contest. Stephen Curry is leading the team with 29.3 points, 5.4 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game. Kevin Durant is adding 27.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Philadelphia

The 76ers have covered the spread in 22 of their last 30 games against Pacific division opponents, but are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 road games against a team with a winning home record.

Golden State

The Warriors have covered in five straight against a winning team and in four of their last five against Eastern Conference opponents.

Prediction:

The addition of DeMarcus Cousins looks to have taken the Warriors to another level. They have won all five games with him, covering in four of the five. All of those games have been on the road. Now he gets to play in front of his new home crowd. Philly has been streaky on the road and I don’t think they match up well with Golden State. The Warriors can outscore Philly and the 76ers don’t have the outside shooting to match this team. I like the Warriors to stay hot.

NBA Prediction: Golden State Warriors -9.5
