Indiana Pacers DFS Spin

The Pacers will be without star point guard Tyrese Haliburton on Sunday. Haliburton has been out with a knee injury for the past few weeks and hasn’t seen game action since January 11th. Haliburton leads the Pacers in points per game (20.2), assists per game (10.2), and steals per game (1.8). His absence is not insignificant.

If you need scoring and rebounding from your center spot, consider Indiana’s Myles Turner. Turner is posting good traditional numbers this season with 17.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. But he’s been shooting well from deep this season too. Myles Turner is shooting a career-high 39.1% from beyond the arc this year on 4 attempts per game. He would be a worthy addition to any DFS lineup. 

Memphis Grizzlies DFS Spin

The Grizzlies likely won’t have their second-leading scorer on Sunday in Desmond Bane. Bane is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday’s contest with right knee soreness. For the season, Bane is averaging 21.6 points per game. Memphis won’t have their leading rebounder Steven Adams for Sunday’s game either. Adams is nursing a PCL sprain in his knee and will likely be out for 3-5 weeks. Adams was pulling down 11.5 rebounds per game for the Grizzlies this year.

The absence of Desmond Bane means Memphis star point guard Ja Morant will likely take on a larger offensive workload. Morant has been tremendous this year, averaging 27.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game for the campaign. He’s scored at least 22 points in 12 straight games and could easily make it 13 straight on Sunday against an Indiana team who ranks 21st in the league in defensive efficiency.

Finally, the Grizzlies are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. I think this will be an ugly game, which favors Indiana. I’ll take the Pacers and the points.
