Kristaps Porzingis finished Wednesday’s loss to the Jazz with 18 points (8-of-18 FGs), five rebounds, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes. Porzingis managed to block two shots on the night, but he struggled mightily on the defensive end of the floor. Utah targeted him quite often in ball-screen actions, and this was a big reason why Rudy Gobert tallied 29 points and 20 rebounds. Porzingis won’t have to wait long for a chance to redeem himself, as the Mavericks are scheduled to face the Jazz again Friday night

Donovan Mitchell (concussion protocol) is questionable to play on Friday against the Mavericks. Mitchell was placed in concussion protocol on Wednesday. Joe Ingles started in his place and Utah won its first game against the Mavs. He scored 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting with eight assists. Jordan Clarkson also played 31 minutes, scoring 31 points on 11-of-21 shooting with seven rebounds, a block, and a steal off the bench. If Mitchell can't give it a go, expect some of the same from them on Friday.
