According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Pelicans are 1-point home underdogs versus the Wizards while the total sits at 218.5 points. While the spread hasn't moved off that 1-point number, the total has climbed slightly from 218 to 218.5.

In their 112-86 win over the Hawks on Friday night, John Wall scored 19 points with six rebounds, nine assists and on e3-pointer. The Pelicans remain inconsistent. They followed by a 124-122 win over the Cavaliers by losing 114-105 to the Thunder, then upset the Spurs 119-103 as a 6.5-point home underdog in their following game. In the win over San Antonio, Anthony Davis scored 16 points with 22 rebounds while returning to action following a quad injury that held him out of the Cleveland game. Jrue Holliday also added 23 points with 11 assists and four rebounds.

OUR PREDICTION: The Wizards have won eight of their last nine games against the Pelicans after each team split a pair of games last season. Washington is 10-1 against the spread in its last 11 games in New Orleans and has covered in eight of its last 10 meetings against the Pelicans overall. The road team is also an impressive 14-3 at the betting window in the last 17 meetings between these two teams, so might as well take the hot Wizards that have shown recent dominance over the Pelicans.
