Nets vs. Cavs Prediction
Is the over a good bet to cash tonight when the Cavaliers host the Nets at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cavaliers are 15-point home favorites versus the Nets after opening as a 16.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 224 but has been bet up a full two points to 226.
After beating the Pelicans 143-114 in New Orleans last week, the Nets have dropped three straight. In their 109-106 loss versus the Heat on Wednesday, Brook Lopez set a new career-high with seven 3-pointers, finishing with 33 points, four rebounds, three assists and two turnovers in 33 minutes. He scored 16 of the Nets' first 17 points.
The Cavs have now dropped three in a row, with losses at home to the Spurs and Kings, as well as on the road to the Pelicans, who were without Anthony Davis. In the 116-112 loss to Sacramento on Wednesday, LeBron James triple-doubled while finishing with 24 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in 45 minutes. Kyrie Irving also racked up 20 points with six assists, two steals and two blocks.

OUR PREDICTION: Both teams have been bad bets at the window, so let's look at the total. The over is a perfect 4-0 in the Cavs' last four games overall, is 11-4 in their last 15 conference games and is 4-0 in their last four games coming off a loss. The over has also been cashing when the Nets play on the road, going 16-7-1 in their last 24 road games and going 4-1 in their last five games coming off an ATS loss. With how hot Cleveland's offense is and how off the Cavs' defense continues to be, the over looks like a good bet to cash tonight in Cleveland.
