Rockets vs. 76ers Prediction
The Sixers are relatively large home underdog tonight against the Rockets at 8:00PM ET. Will they cover?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 76ers are an 8-point home underdog versus the Rockets while the over/under is currently sitting at 219.5 points. As of this writing, neither the total nor the point spread have moved off the original numbers.
The Rockets are in a bit of a funk. They're lost two in a row and three of their last four, covering just once (in that lone victory) over that same span. In their latest loss, a 120-109 defeat in Boston, James Harden scored 30 points, grabbed six rebounds and finished with a team-high 12 assists. Trevor Ariza also contributed with 12 points and two rebounds, while Ryan Anderson had 19 points and five boards.
The Sixers have won five of their last six games and covered the spread in five of those games during that span. In their 114-109 win at Milwaukee, Nerlens Noel finished with 16 points with 13 boards, one steal and a block. He hit a clutch jumper to help seal the victory and he's now 8-of-16 from beyond the 3-point line this year. With Jahlil Okafor (knee) and Joel Embiid (left knee) doubtful for tonight, Noel will be counted on heavily again if the Sixers are going to pull off this upset.
