San Antonio Spurs Fantasy Spin
DeMar DeRozan (sore left knee) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. New Orleans. DeRozan was dealing with an ankle injury last week, which cost him a game, but that was the only contest he's missed this season due to injury. This knee soreness is a new issue. DeRozan scored 26 points on Wednesday but was averaging just 13.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists, while shooting a putrid 35.0 percent from the floor and 52.9 percent from the stripe over the Spurs previous six contests. Marco Belinelli, Patty Mills and Rudy Gay will divvy up extra minutes on Saturday.
New Orleans Pelicans Fantasy Spin
Jrue Holiday was the focal point of the offense during a 122-116 loss to the Thunder on Thursday, scoring 22 points with nine rebounds, 13 assists, four steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes. Even in a tough matchup, he was in a smash spot for DFS. In a small sample without Anthony Davis (finger), Julius Randle (ankle) and Nikola Mirotic, Holiday has per-36 stats of 41.0 points, 3.4 boards, 6.8 assists, 3.4 blocks and 6.8 treys (21-minute sample). He'll get the Spurs on Saturday night and may have to dominate again, so his owners can expect even better output in the next week. He's a stud.
