Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Grizzlies are 1-point favorites to beat the Kings. The total, meanwhile, sits at 212.5 points and as of this writing, 58% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Grizzlies to cover the point spread.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
De'Aaron Fox (left big toe soreness) is not on the injury report for Friday's game vs. Memphis. Fox was sidelined for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors, but the Kings latest injury report states that all players are available, so we can expect Fox to return to game action Friday night. Yogi Ferrell, who replaced Fox in the starting lineup, will be bumped back to the bench vs. the Grizzlies.
Memphis Grizzlies Fantasy Spin
Marc Gasol dropped his fifth career triple-double against the Hornets on Wednesday during a 118-107 loss, scoring 22 points with 17 rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes. Multiple reports have Gasol on the trade block, and he'll be much easier to deal than Mike Conley. Gasol has a player option for next year, and the 33-year-old center may opt out of it to get one more big payday. A move for Gasol may not hurt him too much, especially considering the Grizzlies could shut him down. His fantasy owners probably can't trade him at fair value right now, so it makes sense just to ride it out and let the chips fall where they may. If you can somehow get value for what you paid on draft day, it's not a bad idea.
