Kings heating up

The Kings are coming off a 115-107 win at home over Portland on Monday for its third straight victory. However, all three games came at home. The Kings are 23-21 overall, 9-11 on the road, 26-18 against the spread and 27-17 with the over.

Sacramento is putting up 114.7 points per game on offense this season while shooting 38.9 percent from the arc. Defensively, the Kings give up 115.4 points per game while opponents shoot nearly 47 percent against them. Buddy Hield is putting up 20.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game to lead the team while De’Aaron Fox is adding 17.9 points and 7.3 assists per contest.

Hornets return home

Charlotte ended a 6-game road trip on Monday with an impressive 108-93 win at San Antonio. The Hornets went just 2-4 straight up and against the spread on the road trip. Charlotte is 20-23 on the season, 14-8 at home, 21-22 against the spread and 23-19-1 with the over.

The Hornets are putting up 112 points per game on offense while allowing 111.8 per game on defense. Charlotte is being led by Kemba Walker, who is averaging 25.2 points and 5.7 assists per game. Jeremy Lamb is adding 15.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest for the Hornets.

NBA Betting Trends

Sacramento

Sacramento is 0-4 against the spread in its last four road games, but 23-6 ATS in their last 29 games against Eastern Conference opponents.

Charlotte

The Hornets are just 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 against Western Conference opponents. Charlotte is 1-5 ATS in their last six against a winning team.

Prediction:

These two met in Sacramento this past weekend with the Kings getting a 104-97 win at home. That’s a pretty low total for both teams. I think Charlotte is going to find its offense at home. Walker has been a stud this year and he’s certainly comfortable on his home floor and gets a little better support from his teammates. Sacramento has a really sketchy defense and it gets worse on the road. I think the trip East will take a little something out of Sacramento and allow the Hornets to win comfortably.

NBA Prediction: Charlotte Hornets -3
