New Orleans Pelicans Fantasy Spin
Anthony Davis was outstanding Monday vs. the Clippers, finishing with 46 points (16-of-34 FGs, 12-of-12 FTs), 16 rebounds, four assists, three steals, one blocked shot and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes. Davis has now accounted for at least 20 points, ten rebounds and one blocked shot in 13 consecutive games, the longest such streak in the NBA since the 1983-84 season. He’s been the best player in 9-category leagues all season long and by a significant margin, and he ranks second in 8-category leagues behind James Harden. Davis has seven games of at least 40 points to his credit this season, and he’ll look to add another to the tally Wednesday night against a Warriors squad that limited him to 17 points on Halloween.
Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant came out firing on all cylinders on Tuesday at Denver in a battle for the best record in the West, and Curry finished with 31 points, six rebounds, four assists and eight 3-pointers in just 30 minutes of the surprisingly easy 142-111 win. Durant added five triples, hit 11-of-15 shots, and finished with 27 points, four boards, six assists, a steal and a block, while the Warriors scored an NBA-record 51 points in the first quarter. They also hit a team-record 10 3-pointers in the first quarter, and now hold the West's best record at 30-14, putting them 0.5 games up on the Nuggets. The Dubs were determined to make a statement tonight, and they did it in the first 12 minutes. Two of Curry's 3-pointers, which he hit on back-to-back shots, came from another zip code, which you'll see in all the highlight shows over the next 24 hours.
