Bucks fall at Washington

Milwaukee is coming off a 113-106 loss at Washington on Friday night to snap a brief 2-game win streak. The Bucks are 29-12 on the season, 10-8 on the road, 23-16-2 against the spread and 21-20 with the over.

The Bucks have the second-ranked offense in the NBA, averaging 117.2 points per game while shooting 47.8 percent. They also lead the league in rebounding (49.2 per game) and defensive field goal percentage (43.2 percent). Milwaukee has a big injury question coming into today’s game, as Giannis Antetokounmpo is questionable to play today with a quad injury. The Greek Freak is averaging 26.6 points, 12.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game to lead the team and be an MVP candidate. Khris Middleton is adding 17.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest.

Hawks win at Philly

The Atlanta Hawks had one of their biggest wins of the season on Friday, beating the 76ers in Philly, 123-121. It snapped a two-game losing streak for the Hawks, but they have covered the spread in three of their last four games. Atlanta is 13-29 on the season, 7-10 at home, 19-23 against the spread and 22-20 with the over.

The Hawks have the NBA’s worst defense, giving up 117.3 points per game this season. Offensively, Atlanta averages 109 points per game, but only shoots 33.5 percent from the arc. Taurean Prince could return to the lineup today. He has missed the last 18 games with an ankle injury. He was averaging 15 points per game before the injury. John Collins is leading the team with 19.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while Trae Young adds 15.6 points and 7.2 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Milwaukee

Milwaukee has covered the spread in five straight games following a loss and in seven of their last nine overall.

Atlanta

The Hawks are 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 home games, but 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games following a win.

Prediction:

Giannis is listed as questionable but most reports from Bucks media consider him probable to play today. Prince is more on the questionable side and likely wouldn’t see a full load if he does return from his long absence. The Bucks did put a 144-112 beating on Atlanta just nine days ago in Milwaukee, but a spread this big is always a little nerve-wracking for a road team. Still, the Bucks are the better team and more consistent. Atlanta had a nice road win on Friday, but they still don’t matchup well with Milwaukee and can’t shoot consistently enough to trust against one of the best offenses in the NBA.

NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -9.5
