According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Heat are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -5 points against Memphis. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 196.5 points. Grizzlies end skid

Memphis is ended a six-game losing streak on Wednesday in a 96-86 win at home over San Antonio. The Grizzlies also snapped a seven-game failed cover streak in the win. Memphis is 19-22 on the season, 8-13 on the road, 18-23 against the spread and 25-16 with the under.

The Grizz have the league’s top-ranked defense, as they give up just 102.5 points per game. However, they have the second-worst offense in the NBA, posting just 100.9 points per game. Mike Conley is leading the team this season with 20.1 points and 6.2 assists per game while Marc Gasol is adding 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest.

Heat seek consistency

Miami comes into today’s game at the .500 mark following a 115-99 win over Boston at home on Thursday. The Heat are 4-4 over their last eight games. Miami is 20-20 on the season, 10-12 at home, 22-18 against the spread and 22-18 with the over.

The Heat have a pretty good defense as well, as they are allowing just 105.6 points per game while limiting opponents to 43.8 percent shooting. Offensively, the Heat produce just 106.5 points per game and shoot just 43.9 percent from the field. Josh Richardson is leading the team this season with 18.1 points per game while Hassan Whiteside is adding 12.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.46 blocks per game.

NBA Betting Trends

Memphis

The Grizzlies are just 1-7 against the spread in their last eight road games and 0-6 ATS in their last six against Eastern Conference opponents.

Miami

The Heat have covered in eight of their last 11 against the West and 12 of their last 17 overall.

Prediction:

Miami has shown flashes of actually being a playoff contender in recent weeks. While Memphis is coming off a nice win over the Spurs, it was at home and looks to be an anomaly. The Grizzlies have been a disaster on offense all season and I don’t see Miami shooting poor enough at home to open the door for Memphis to get the upset. The Heat are finally getting healthy and I think their depth will carry them to the win and cover.

NBA Prediction: Miami Heat -5
