The Lakers are solid on both sides of the floor. The offense has been putting up 112.8 points per game while shooting a league-best 48.2 percent from the floor. Defensively, the Lakers are giving up 104.9 points per game while holding opponents to 43.7 percent shooting. Davis is listed as questionable for the game tonight after suffering a lower back injury in the fall against the Knicks. He is averaging 27.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season. LeBron James is leading Los Angeles this season with 25.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game.

Mavs in a bit of a funk

Prediction:

The Davis situation is certainly going to play a big role in this game. The Lakers are a far different team without him and I don’t see them getting this win or cover on the road if he can’t go. I think Los Angeles will be smart with him and he has to still be dealing with a pretty solid bruise from that hard fall. Dallas has the better depth here, as we saw what the Lakers were last year when LeBron was the only real offensive option. I think Doncic can do more right now with his roster than LeBron can with his, as long as Davis is out. The Mavs already own a win over the Lakers and have went to OT in another meeting. I think they find a way to even the series tonight and get the cover.
