Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Kings are 3.5-point favorites to beat the Suns. The total, meanwhile, sits at 228 points and as of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Kings to cover the point spread.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Marvin Bagley (return from injury management) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game vs. the Suns. Yet another example of why it's unwise to trust players comments regarding their injury issues. After returning to the lineup on Monday night, Bagley told reporters that he would play Tuesday and that he felt great and was "100 percent." The Kings coaches and front office had other ideas, and will sit Bagley on the second night of a back-to-back. However, he's fully expected to play on Thursday when the Kings host the Pistons. Nemanja Bjelica should soak up extra minutes in Tuesday's contest.
Phoenix Suns Fantasy Spin
Igor Kokoskov said there's a "good chance" Devin Booker (back) won't play in Tuesday's game against the Kings. Booker was unable to play in the second half of Sunday's game due to back spasms and did not participate in practice on Monday or in Tuesday's shootaround. He is officially listed as doubtful. Kokoskov did confirm that Josh Jackson would start if Booker is ruled out of Tuesday's night's game. T.J. Warren and Deandre Ayton would also see an increase in usage rate if Booker is sidelined. We should have confirmation on his status at approximately 7:30 EST, when Kokoskov addresses the media.
NBA Betting Trends
Sacramento
The Kings are 0-6 against the spread in their last six games when playing on zero rest.
Phoenix
The Suns are 0-4 against the number in their last four games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest.
Prediction
As previously mentioned, Sacramento has been a poor play in the second game of a back-to-back but I can’t back Phoenix. The Suns are 0-4 against the spread in their last four games, are 0-4 against the number in their last four home games and have failed to cover the number in 16 of their last 23 games versus Western Conference opponents. The Kings, meanwhile, have covered 11 of their last 16 games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game and are a perfect 7-0 ATS in their last seven games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage below .400.
Tuesday NBA Prediction: Sacramento Kings -3.5
