Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Warriors are 7.5-point favorites to beat the Warriors. The total, meanwhile, sits at 238.5 points and as of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Warriors to cover the point spread.
Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin
DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) is still out for Saturday against the Kings. No revenge game for Boogie in his Warriors debut, apparently. The Warriors aren't being very specific on when Cousins is set to return and he does not have a target date, but he's been going through full practices and some pre-game workouts. He should still be stashed in most leagues.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Marvin Bagley (knee) is listed as questionable vs. the Warriors on Saturday. This is a step in the right direction after he was called doubtful for the game on Thursday. While he did not play, it sounds like he could be back soon, or of course it's not crazy to think he needs several games off after being ruled out for two weeks back on Dec. 28. If he can't go, it'll be interesting to see if Harry Giles gets PF minutes like he did in the last two games, but he's not much of a pickup. Nemanja Bjelica would also have a longer leash in the first unit.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 games overall but have covered in five of their last seven road games.
Sacramento
The Kings are winless in their last five games against the spread but have covered in 13 of their last 16 games when playing on one day of rest.
Prediction
The under has been profitable in this series, cashing in seven of the last 10 meetings and in eight of the last 10 meetings in Sacramento. The under is also 18-7-1 in the Warriors’ last 26 games coming off a loss, is 13-6 in their last 19 road games versus an opponent with a winning home record and is 6-0 in their last six games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game. On the other side, the under is 7-3 in the Kings’ last 10 games versus a team with a winning record and is 9-2 in their last 11 home games versus a team with a winning road record.
Saturday NBA Prediction: Warriors/Kings under 238.5
