Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin
Wesley Matthews (right foot soreness) logged 25 minutes as a starter on Wednesday, scoring 11 points (3-of-7 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Matthews was on the injury report but was always expected to play, and hasn't been limited after missing two games with the foot injury last week. His reduced minutes tonight were simply the result of a lopsided score. He's been a marginal value for the past month, but his value remains heavily concentrated in 3-point shooting (2.2) and steals (1.2), with lousy percentages and little else to offer.
Boston Celtics Fantasy Spin
Gordon Hayward feels his lateral movement has improved since the beginning of the season. "Yeah, man, I think it's slowly getting there," Hayward said. "Like, I think my lateral movement, it's so much better since the beginning of the season. But I think that's pretty close to where it was. I think vertically I still have a little ways to go." After being held scoreless through 22 minutes of action on Monday, Hayward came through with a season-high 35 points during Wednesday's win over the Wolves. He's been inconsistent this year, but it sounds like he's getting more confident playing on that surgically-repaired ankle.
