According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Warriors are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -8 points against the Rockets. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 225.5 points. The public betting for this game currently has 60 percent going on the Rockets on the road. Rockets on fire

The Houston Rockets have been playing as well as anyone in the NBA for weeks. They are on a five-game win and cover streak right now following a 113-101 win over Memphis on Monday night. Houston is 21-15 overall, 8-10 on the road, 18-17-1 against the spread and 20-16 with the over.

The Rockets are improving on offense while staying respectable on defense. Houston is putting up 109.9 points per game on offense while giving up 108.3 per game on defense. Houston will be without Chris Paul and Eric Gordon tonight due to injuries. Gordon and Paul combine for over 30 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists per game. James Harden is leading the team with 33.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists per contest.

Warriors heating up

Golden State has won its last two games, both on the road, covering the spread in both cases by beating Portland and Phoenix. The Warriors are now 25-13 on the season, 15-5 at home, 16-22 against the spread and 19-19 with the over/under total.

Golden State is putting up 115.8 points per game on offense this season while shooting a league-best 48.2 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from the arc. Defensively, the Warriors are giving up 111.3 points per game while opponents shoot 45 percent from the field. Stephen Curry is leading the team with 28.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while Kevin Durant is adding 28.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Houston

The Rockets are 7-0-1 against the spread in their last eight conference games and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Golden State

The Warriors have failed to cover in four straight road games and in eight of their last 11 overall.

Prediction:

Houston already owns an emphatic 107-86 win over the Warriors this season. Granted, that was in Houston, but the Rockets are playing much better now than they were then. The Warriors are healthier now than they were then, but the Warriors haven’t shown much consistency to play at the level many expect. Their last four home games have all been losses or very competitive wins. Even without Paul and Gordon, Houston is playing very well behind James Harden and I think he leads Houston to a cover tonight, if not an outright win.

NBA Prediction: Houston Rockets +8
