Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Clippers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -2.5 points against the 76ers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 233 points. The public betting for this game currently has 52 percent going on the Clippers at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

76ers fall at Portland

Philadelphia is coming off a 129-95 loss at Portland for one of its worst losses of the season. The 76ers are now 23-14 on the season, 7-11 on the road, 17-20 against the spread and 22-15 with the over.

Philly has one of the top offenses in the NBA, as the 76ers are averaging 114.0 points per game despite shooting just 34.8 percent from the arc. Defensively, Philadelphia is giving up 112.1 points per game, but the 76ers hold opponents to just 44.7 percent shooting. Joel Embiid sat out the last game with a knee injury and is questionable to play tonight as well. He is the team leader with 26.5 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. Ben Simmons added 16.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.9 assists per contest.

Clippers slip up at home

The Clippers had been playing pretty well as of late, but are coming off a 122-111 loss at home to the Spurs. The loss snapped a five-game cover streak for the Clippers. Los Angeles is now 21-15 on the season, 12-5 at home, 21-15 against the spread and 23-13 with the over.

Los Angeles has one of the top offenses in the league as well, averaging 115.9 points per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from the arc. Defensively, the Clippers are giving up 114.7 points per game while opponents shoot 34.3 percent from the arc. Tobias Harris is leading the team with 21.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest while Danilo Gallinari is adding 19.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

NBA Betting Trends

The 76ers are 6-15 against the spread in their last 21 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last four Tuesday games.

Los Angeles

The Clippers are 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

The 76ers have won three straight meetings with the Clippers and have covered the spread in six straight meetings. However, if the 76ers are without Embiid, they are a much different team. The Clippers have the ability to score like the 76ers, but if Philly doesn’t have their best weapon, then they are going to struggle to keep pace. I can’t see the 76ers risking Embiid if there is any question about his knee. Keep an eye on the updates, but I am going to go with the Clippers to cover.

NBA Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers -2.5
