NHL Betting Trends
Pittsburgh
The Penguins are 5-1 in their last six games played on one day of rest. Pittsburgh is 48-20 in its last 68 Thursday games.
New York
The Islanders are 8-0 in their last eight games as a favorite. New York is 8-1 in its last nine home games.
Prediction:
The Penguins are struggling in the absence of their captain, Sidney Crosby, and I don't see it turning around tonight. New York is a disciplined team that is fantastic on the back end and usually scores just enough to get the job done. The Islanders are turning to Thomas Greiss in goal tonight and he comes in with a .938 save percentage. Good luck solving that. I'm taking the hosts here.
