McCutchen homers for second straight night

Andrew McCutchen hit a solo home run and was 1-for-3 plus a walk from the leadoff spot last night in a 4-2 victory at Seattle. Miguel Andujar ended the contest 2-for-3. Gleyber Torres went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Austin Romine finished 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Brett Gardner was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Lance Lynn gave up two earned runs on three hits with two strikeouts and no walks over six innings to pick up the win. Dellin Betances picked up his third save as he allowed one hit and walked one while striking out three in an inning of work.

Zunino hits 19th home run

Mariners catcher Mike Zunino was 1-for-3 with a solo home run in last night's loss to the Yankees. Mitch Haniger went 1-for-4 with his 32nd double of the season from the leadoff spot. Dee Gordon was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Nick Vincent suffered the loss as he gave up one earned run on one hit with a strikeout in one inning of work.

CC Sabathia (7-6, 3.54 ERA) will get the start today for New York, while Seattle counters with Erasmo Ramirez (2-3, 5.56).
