Snell strong yet again

Blake Snell improved to 17-5 on the season Saturday night as he gave up twp runs (one earned) on eight hits with nine strikeouts and one walk in 6 2/3 innings during a 5-3 victory at the Indians. Adam Kolarek retired the only batter he faced for his second save of the season. Joey Wendle was 2-for-5 with a double to help pace the offense. Matt Duffy finished 2-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Ji-Man Choi went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles. Willy Adames was 1-for-2 with a pair of walks. Jake Bauers finished 1-for-3 with a walk. Brandon Lowe ended the game 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored.

Jason Kipnis contributed a pinch-hit solo home run in Saturday's loss to Tampa Bay. Michael Brantley went 2-for-4, while Jose Ramirez was 1-for-3 with a walk. Melky Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Shane Bieber took the loss as he allowed four earned runs on nine hits with four strikeouts and no walks over 5 1/3 innings.

Diego Castillo (3-2, 3.73 ERA) draws the start today for the Rays, while the Indians counter with Carlos Carrasco (16-7, 3.38).

MLB Betting Trends

Tampa Bay

The Rays are 10-2 in their last 12 games overall. Tampa Bay is 7-2 in its last nine games following a win.

Cleveland

The Indians are 20-8 in their last 28 Sunday games. Cleveland is 75-36 in its last 111 home games.

Prediction:

Carrasco has been fantastic as of late for Cleveland and it's difficult to trust Castillo plus the Rays bullpen to hold the Indians offense at bay. I'm taking the hosts here and I'm going with the runline bet.
