Peraza has big night

Reds shortstop Jose Peraza finished 4-for-5 with a home run, four runs and two RBIs Tuesday night in a 9-7 home win over the Brewers. Billy Hamilton was 2-for-5 with a run scored. Scooter Gennett was 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Eugenio Suarez finished 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and a run. Patrick Ervin ended the game 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Anthony DeSclafani picked up the win as he allowed four earned runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and a walk over 6 2/3 innings. Raisel Iglesias picked up his 24th save as he allowed one earned run on two hits with one strikeout over 1 1/3 innings.

Yelich homers twice in defeat

Christian Yelich went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs in last night's loss at Cincinnati. Lorenzo Cain was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run. Hernan Perez finished 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and an RBI off the bench. Junior Guerra suffered the loss as he was shelled for six earned runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks over 1 1/3 innings.

Freddy Peralta (6-4, 4.02 ERA) will draw the start for the Brewers tonight, while the Reds counter with Matt Harvey (6-7, 4.77).

MLB Betting Trends

Milwaukee

The Brewers are 5-2 in their last seven games following a loss. Milwaukee is 1-4 in its last five road games.

Cincinnati

The Reds are 4-0 in their last four home games. Cincinnati is 1-5 in its last six games overall.

Prediction:

The Reds have already seen Peralta multiple times this season and know what he has to offer. He also was struggling immensely before turning it back around his last start. While Milwaukee has also seen Harvey this season, he excelled in that start and has been pitching with confidence lately. I'm going to take a shot on the Reds to win as the home dog.
