Donovan Solano hit a pinch-hit two-run home run against the A's on Sunday. The Giants could not get anything going against A's starter Frankie Montas, going scoreless over seven innings. Down by one run in the eighth, Austin Slater drew a walk against A.J. Puk. Solano pinch-hit for LaMonte Wade to face the left-hander. He put the Giants on top with a two-run homer to left field. The 33-year-old infielder is hitting .277 on the year with six homers and two steals over 285 at-bats.
New York Mets DFS Spin
J.D. Davis homered and drove in four runs on Sunday, powering the Mets to a 7-2 victory over the Dodgers. Davis drove in Javier Baez with an RBI single in the first inning to increase the Mets early lead to 2-0. He then slugged a 383-foot two-run blast off of Phil Bickford in the seventh to make it a 5-2 game. To top it off, he drew a walk with the bases loaded in the ninth to collect his fourth RBI. Davis finished the day 2-for-3 and is now slashing a terrific .301/.396/.476 with five homers and 21 RBI through 50 games.
