Nola served up a leadoff homer to Jonathan India, and a two-run double to Shogo Akiyama in the third inning, before loading the bases with nobody out in the ensuing frame. He managed to wriggle out of that jam completely unscathed, thanks to a timely double-play. He was pulled after loading the bases again in the fifth inning. The 28-year-old righty has struggled from a run prevention standpoint, but remains an upper-echelon fantasy contributor. He'll carry an inflated 4.48 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 163/31 K/BB ratio across 134 2/3 innings (24 starts) into a road tilt against the free-falling Padres on Saturday night.

San Diego Padres DFS Spin

Joe Musgrove allowed a season high six earned runs over five innings on Saturday in a 7-0 loss to the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks got to the right-hander early tonight, as Josh VanMeter ripped the first pitch of the game to right field and ended up coming around to score on a 96.3 mph double by Ketel Marte during the very next at-bat. He settled down after a rough first inning, but unfortunately the damage was already done. This outing ended a stretch of four consecutive quality starts dating back to July 23rd. He'll be looking to right the ship in a matchup against the Phillies on Friday.
