New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Mike Tauchman cranked a solo home run and added an RBI double Tuesday as the Yankees blew out the Orioles. Tauchman took Asher Wojciechowski deep in the third inning in what was the first of six homers for the Bronx Bombers. He later played another run in the eighth with a two-bagger as the Yanks padded their lead. Not only that, Tauchman also robbed Pedro Severino of a home run with a leaping catch at the wall in the fourth inning. The 28-year-old has gone deep three times in the first two games of the series and has multiple RBI in four straight contests. It would be nice if he'd start hitting higher in the batting order, but Tauchman is worth owning in fantasy leagues right now regardless.
Baltimore Orioles Fantasy Spin
Anthony Santander popped a two-run home run Tuesday in a loss to the Yankees. His bomb off of Stephen Tarpley in the fifth inning cut the Yankees' lead to one run at the time, but that's as close as the Orioles would get. Santander also added a single. The 24-year-old has become the O's No. 3 hitter and is sporting a surprising .363 average with five dingers and 17 RBI over his last 19 contests. He's obviously worth using in fantasy leagues while he's hitting like this, but it's hard to buy that Santander keeps it up given his uninspiring production the last couple years.
