Gleyber Torres launched a first-inning grand slam to lead the Yankees to a 4-2 victory over the Red Sox on Friday. Eduardo Rodriguez gave up a leadoff single to DJ LeMahieu and walked Aaron Judge and Edwin Encarnacion before Torres made him pay. The Yankees wouldn’t score again after that, but neither would the Red Sox. Torres finished 1-for-4 with a walk on the night. This was the second grand slam of his career, the other one coming on June 19 against the Rays. Torres is now up to 21 homers and 60 RBI on the year to go along with a .288/.355/.505 batting line.
