According to oddsmakers, the Astros are favored on the road tonight, as they are getting odds of -130 to win. The Mariners are listed with a money line of +120 to prevail, while the over/under total has been set at 8 runs. The public betting for this game currently has 55 percent of the wagers going on Seattle at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Astros end skid

Houston put an end to its 5-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 5-2 win in a game they trailed. The Astros have struggled offensively with Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa on the DL. Houston is now 68-41 overall and 36-17 on the road. On the season, the Astros are putting up 4.94 runs per game this year while allowing 3.28 per contest.

Dallas Keuchel gets the start for the Astros this afternoon. He is making his 23rd start of the season and has an 8-9 record with a 3.60 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. Keuchel has 135.0 innings on the mound this year and he has 103 strikeouts with 36 walks.

Mariners fall to Morton

The Mariners were unable to move closer in the AL West race, as they lost on Tuesday to Charlie Morton and the Astros. Seattle sits at 63-44 overall and 35-20 at home. The Mariners are putting up 4.20 runs per contest this season while allowing 4.23 per contest.

Wade LeBlanc takes the mound for Seattle this afternoon. He is 6-1 on the season through 16 starts and is carrying a 3.51 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP. LeBlanc has pitched a total of 102.2 innings and has 82 strikeouts with 22 walks.

MLB Betting Trends

Houston

The Astros have won Keuchel’s last four road starts and five of his last six starts overall. They are also 20-8 in his last 28 starts against division opponents.

Seattle

The Mariners have won LeBlanc’s last eight home starts against a team with a winning record. They also have won his last 15 home starts.

Prediction:

It’s pretty impressive to see Seattle has won LeBlanc’s last 15 home starts. That is some great consistency from him at his home field. He is 6-0 at home with a 2.67 ERA this year but he has struggled against Houston this year, posting a 7.88 ERA in 8 innings of work. Keuchel has been looking more like his old self in recent months but he has a 5.52 ERA against Seattle over two starts. While LeBlanc hasn’t been great against Houston, he has been great at home. I still worry about Houston without its key bats and I think LeBlanc will be able to keep the score low and allow Seattle to edge Houston.

The Pick: Seattle Mariners +120
