Wojciechowski spins gem

Asher Wojciechowski carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning Sunday afternoon in a 5-0 home victory over Boston. Wojciechowski gave up the one hit with 10 strikeouts and two walks over 7 1/3 scoreless frames. Trey Mancini paced the Orioles offense as he finished 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs. Jonathan Villar went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored. Dwight Smith Jr. ended the game 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Aaron Brooks gets the start today for Baltimore as he enters with a 2-3 record, 4.69 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 45 strikeouts over 55 2/3 innings.

D-Backs stumble against Brewers

Arizona lost by a score of 7-4 at home Sunday afternoon in a series finale versus Milwaukee. The Diamondbacks led 4-0 through three innings before allowing four runs in the top of the fourth and another three runs in the eighth. Alex Avila helped lead the Arizona offense as he went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Ketel Marte was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored. Nick Ahmed went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run. Yoan Lopez suffered the loss in relief as he allowed three earned runs on three hits with no strikeouts or walks over two-thirds of an inning. Robbie Ray draws the start tonight for Arizona as he comes in with an 8-6 record, 3.96 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 152 strikeouts over 117 innings pitched.

I'm not here to force you to do anything with your money, but there are definitely better bets than the Orioles here. It's going to be a game heavily influenced by their crummy bullpen, they traveled west to get here and they have only won 16 times in 47 road games all season. Ray can be erratic, but he gets the strikeouts and this should be a lineup he mows down. Coupled with the run support he is likely to get, I'm leaning runline with the Diamondbacks.
