Maikel Franco helped lead the offense as he went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Rhys Hoskins went 3-for-5 and scored a run. Odubel Herrera was 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored. Nick Williams finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Drew Gagnon suffered the loss in his MLB debut as he gave up six earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk over 4 2/3 innings.

MLB Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The under is 12-3 in the last 15 Phillies games overall. Philadelphia is 8-2 in its last 10 overall.
New York
The Mets are 2-9 in their last 11 Wednesday games. New York is 59-28 in the last 87 meetings.
Prediction:
It seems easy to take deGrom, but the Mets haven't been scoring for him all season which explains his 5-4 record despite spectacular numbers in all areas. Velasquez is inconsistent, but the Mets have the type of offense that goes to sleep for long stretches and I believe he can shut them down. All Philly needs to do is generate a few runs somehow and it is probably golden. Go with the underdog here.
